A Little Bit About Me
Hello, my name is Emma. I have always been involved in the birthing world in one way or another. I started my journey as a midwife at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. I then went on to have my own family. Returning to midwifery and being a mother to three was too much of a juggle, so I trained as a birth Doula with Michel Odent in 2011. All of my own birth experiences were different but all 100% positive.
I believe that whatever shape your birth takes, whether it be a home delivery in the pool or an emergency caesarean in hospital, women and their partners can be empowered by the right antenatal support/teaching to feel that their birth was totally within their control and it is possible to be totally positive. I believe that Hypnobirthing is an invaluable tool in achieving this.
I started my positive birth coaching business in May 2019 after training with The Little Birth Company. I continue to really love teaching Hypnobirthing classes, it is so rewarding and so magical to hear how my classes have helped my clients with achieving a positive birth. (Check out my testimonials!)
In light of the recent press relating to the incidence of Birth Trauma. I have enrolled in the three step rewind course with The Traumatic Birth Recovery College of Perinatal Emotional Health and will therefore soon be offering a Traumatic Birth recovery service.
As I mentioned I have three children, two daughters aged 25, 23 and a son aged 14. I live in Chipping Norton with my husband James, Daughter Hattie and son Oliver. My daughters are both graduates and working full time. I feel very lucky to also have three surrogate grandchildren aged 10, 8 and 6. (it’s a long story!)
I love cooking, eating out, live music, going to the theatre and comedy. I love to party with my friends and keep a busy social life. My favourite tv programs are Casualty, anything to do with cooking or gardening and of course Call the Midwife!
I look forward to hearing from you should you like to ask any questions regarding my Positive Birth Coaching. Please follow my links below or call me on 07904113603
